“WAVES + WATER”

Join CHILI THOM for 7 days of adventure, culture and education in PESCADERO, BAJA, MEXICO. Chili will lead the group to understanding the process of painting water. We will look at the patterns and colour groupings commonly seen in water and go through a series of exercises designed to help you understand and capture motion, reflection and colours commonly seen on waters reflective surface.

With several days on the water surfing you will hopefully be able to see and comprehend common colour groupings and the almost mathematical patterning of water. After a series of exercises the group will work together on a combined piece under Chili’s guidance to complete a large wave piece. This piece will be donated to raise funds for Mundo Star – a foundation and charity that sponsors young Mexican soccer teams. Find out more here.

In addition to workshop –there are surfing lessons at Los Cerritos Beach, a boat cruise to Santa Maria Beach for snorkeling and a night at Los Milagros Hotel in Cabo San Lucas, access to yoga classes, massages and day trips to Todos Santos with tours of art galleries are available.

Fee of $750.00 CAD includes:
- Round trip ground transportation from San Jose Del Cabo to El Pescadero Beach House and throughout the Southern Baja.
- 7 night’s accommodation (based on double occupancy) with 1 night in Cabo San Lucas at Los Milagros Boutique Hotel
- 7 breakfasts, 7 lunches, 7 dinners – including beverages (not alcohol)
- Boat Cruise through the Southern Tip of the Baja to Santa Maria Beach
- Surf Lessons including surf boards

We will stay in large cabin tents with beds  in single rooms – if you would like to stay in a hotel rate increases apply. Meals are simple, nutritious and wholesome prepared with fresh produce from nearby farms – like Alice Waters. We watch the sun dip into the ocean at sunset and listen to the sounds of rural Baja.

ACE CAMPS are for ALL ages. Art, learning and adventure is for everyone… (The new and specific website for the Ace Camps should be up and ready in a few weeks – in the meantime I’m using this site to help with registration – thank you for your patience – come one, come all….)

The balance of tuition, studio fee and housing is due 60 days prior to the start of your first workshop. If payment in full is not received by that date, you may forfeit your workshop and incur a cancellation fee.
