The Sartorialist + Sheila Scotter

I love when The Sartorialist- Scott Schuman photographs anyone but especially when he finds beautiful and stylish men and women who are over 50.  It’s awesome to look at photos of older people.  We don’t see them enough as we’re used to looking at young people model all our fashions.  Can’t figure out why fashion companies don’t use age appropriate models.

Featured in this post is Sheila Scotter.  She’s 88 years old and was the first Editor in Chief for Vogue Australia, the founding editor of Vogue Living and protégée of Diana Vreeland.  In the photo above taken by Scott Schuman she refused to wear jeans but thought the cropped black SABA trench worked with her look whose signature is black and white elegance.

To quote Scotter – “Anyone can buy fashion but you cannot buy style”
