The NEW Wooten Woods Retreat is nearly completed and ready for opening! We’re planning one final building week-end April 3-5, 2009, with a special Dedication and Open House on Sunday, April 5th, from 1-6pm.
Victor Wooten’s Bass/Nature Camp is a 6-day experience with about 60 students.
The camp will be packed full of surprises that will begin as soon as the student arrives. Lesson are designed to open up your mind and awaken the senses to the vast world of Nature, Music, Life, and You.
Most nights features live performances and open dialogue allowing time for reflection on the day’s activities and remaining questions the students may have.
Some of the things covered at the camp are:
• Soloing techniques and concepts
• How to use focusing and un-focusing to your advantage
• The 4 basic elements of survival
• Fire making techniques (each student will get the chance to make a bow-drill fire)
• How to find food and water
