Some of my friends are stuck in the 70’s still listening to the same music. Time for a change my friends. Expand your playlists. Here are some websites that will help you discover great new beats.

Gnod: Find books, movies and music you like by typing in an artist or authors name – give you 6 degress of separation from everyone from Pete Seeger to Black Sabbath – http://gnod.net/

Paste Magazine: Signs of Life in Music, Film and Culture -http://www.pastemagazine.com/articles/2008/11/signs-of-life-2008-best-music.html?p=5

NPR.org – National Public Radio – Listen to full recordings of new songs. Get great opinions on films, books and music. http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=96539763

Of course there are other sites – “google” new music. RollingStonehttp://www.rollingstone.com/ is pretty darn awesome, too.

*Be sure to check out Bon Iver – the song “Skinny Love” on the album For Emma, Forever Ago
